Thanks for the answers, but I am pretty sure this will be an obscure SA army badge from WWI. The 4 similar examples shown in Owen's book are for the SASC & Motor Transport Corps and I have never seen a badge of this design anywhere other than in SA books. S??? Motor Cycle Corps??? but that wouldn't explain the car grill. Stellenbosch Motor Car Corps
