badly damaged button with year(?) 1802
This high concave button is battered beyond recognition.
It has a Georgian crown over script letters H...G. <with one or two letters missing> over the year 1802.
The Treaty of Amiens was from 25/3/1802 until 18/5/1803. If it is military, then it should be from the early months of 1802.
It has an open back and no markings.
