Or a sergeants cap? Presumably WO's would wear officers quality chinstraps.
Not many squaddies would want a "walking out cap" nowadays, and I wouldn't think there'd be much chance otherwise of getting away with wearing a bullion badge when everyone else is wearing anodised aluminium or new metal.
Did bullion become an an option for all ranks?
