A very nice NZ Reinforcement cap badge, during WW1, it was generally only worn in New Zealand and on transport ships to Egypt and Europe.

The badge itself, was designed by Smith & Sherlaw who were Jewelers in Featherston camp, their 1st Cyclist Company badge design was registered on the 6th April 1916.

The badge IMO was never issued as is mentioned in one of the links, instead it would have been sold over the counter.
