Welcome to the Forum and I hope you find it both interesting and useful.
Some members can get hot under the collar when people ask for information, only to find it then appear as an eBay listing, so if you do post a badge and ask for details about it, it is best to state your intentions from the start. That way there should be little to grumble at and you'll find that most people will try to help you anyway. If you have a lot of items it is always best to start an album and direct people to it via a post or thread. That way they can leave comments below each image, without there being endless "Can you help" threads. Use of the Search box and the search feature in the albums section, can often turn up enough information without having even to post a question!
