Home Guard and WVS Photos Wanted
I have posted a request in the Wanted/For Sale Section as I am looking for two or three studio type Home Guard photos which show good detail of the insignia on the sleeves. I am also looking for similar images of members of the Womens Voluntary Services.
They will be used in a book I am preparing entitled Britons in Uniform which will illustrate in contemporary photos the extensive range of uniforms worn in wartime Britain by the armed and civil defence services and by a large range of others from the Merchant Navy to Service cadets, Scouts and Guides.
I would be happy to buy the photos but equally would be happy to use scanned images if any member has examples they would be willing to let me use, for which a credit would be give in the book.
