Plus la change, plus la meme chose.
For once it appears that the Canadian Forces have drawn upon their insignia heritage to patch a new unit. The CF has created an organization called ARMY NEWS / NOUVELLES de L'ARMEE. This organization is made up of regular and reserve soldiers who undergo a short course in media and journalism. They are then tasked to report on the military for in house media and publications, like the new Maple Leaf paper, military video/cam casts, blogs etc. Attached is an image of the armlet worn by Army News personnel. The motif is obviously drawn from the Canadian Film and Photo shoulder title of WW2 era. It is fully embroidered on the cadpat armlet.
