Great that you are logging where you found each item - I imagine GPS is important to any relic hunter. I know some folks frown on metal detecting, but if done responsibly it must surely be a great aid to our understanding, and perhaps focus further exploration. A great collection, fascinating scope. Several Independent Companies and Commandos undertook guard duties / exercises on I of W - The eclectic mix of any buttons etc potentially lost could certainly cause confusion given some parent regiments would not be recorded as having served there.
