Default On Service Badge with rare issue card
As a follow on from the "Red Tab" thread, here is an On Service Badge with its official card of issue with matching numbers. This chap worked at the SA Mint in Pretoria.

I suspect they were meant to be returned and accounted for post WW2, hence card and attached badge. Another option is that it was possibly withdrawn for some reason?

Acquired this one a few years back from Mike Rowan.
