Hi, here are photos of a British electrical connector lug on a tank badge WW2 and the Australian type. As you can see there are slight differences, mainly the British one has more rounded edges and is white metal. What I would call a proper electrical connector, the Australian one has many similarities, not at all what one would call a standard lug, hope this helps, Mike P.S.
