Hi

I don't normally do research in Air Force types but have some experience just looking for threads on the web that lead to answers.

His un-redacted file is available to you from Library and Archives Canada upon request if you can prove he's been dead more than 20 years. Photo of a grave works. Obituary or notice of death too. There were no Buckerfields who died in service so you need to prove he has passed.

You may be aware the Buckerfield's of Vancouver were a prosperous family but I did not see an Edward.

Although not a member, Ancestry's preview page show a Veteran's gave to an Edward H. Buckerfield. A stretch but if you're ever near Ullswater (between Bracebridge and Parry Sound) Ontario, stop and check the stone. https://www.ancestry.com/search/coll...AAERQjBViA-61-

There is a 419 Sqn RCAF mention of him as LAC E.H. Buckerfield in a photo of one of their DFC winning Navigators, ANGUS, F/O Arthur George (J22435) then also a LAC. Fellow recruits?

Good luck.

regards
Darrell
