This belt buckle caught my eye , it looks quite nice but had to smile at the descripton.

This is a belt buckle for wear by a flag bearer of the Royal British Legion. It is quite unusual and has been bespoke made from other insignia. It has a Victorian era cap badge with the center filed flat and an early British Legion membership badge affixed to the front. This has then been fitted through the waist belt plate and brazed in place on the reverse.

In fact it is a standard bandsman cap badge , although the slider does not have a makers mark it is a post 1946 Gaunt made badge. The smaller 'lion head' and 'B' prefix were introduced post WW2 when Gaunt got the contract back from Birmingham Medal & Badge Co.
Not sure if it is a recent 'modification' or an earlier one done by a bandsman/standard bearer.
Will have to see if it attracts many bidders.
