Like many, I'm missing the two or three rare ones but I also have a variant of the Air Frame Mechanic. It has an oversize propeller which is angled from the 11 - 5 o'clock position.
The backings on my trade patches are a mix of this fine cheesecloth weave, a tighter black mesh and some with no mesh at all. Does anyone know if all these variants were issued in wartime or are the white mesh ones post-war?
