Default St.Marys College ( Crosby ) CCF

Attached is a picture of the cloth title of St.Marys College (Crosby ) CCF given to me by one of the officers of the unit - gold letters on maroon.

The unit is affilliated to the Parachute Regiment. Previously it was affiliated to the Liverpool Irish- 626 (Liverpool Irish ) HAA Regt ( Kingsman magazine 1954 ) but surprisingly no one at the school now knows about that affiliation.

No doubt the cadets wore the Liverpool Irish cap badge, what I have not been able to find out is when the affiliation changed and if the anodised version of the Liverpool Irish cap badge was ever worn and if the unit had a distinctive shoulder title.

Any information much appreciated.
