I checked my OSD it has leaves under the shield also.
Thats the problem isnt it? Many of the reproductions are struck from the original dies. I will try to find a close up of the badge.
Both the illustration used in the regimental history and the silk fag card do not show the leaves resting under the shield.
The Wilkinsons badge books shows the leaves resting under the shield.
