Default 8/VAD/WILTS-Godolphin school

I recently purchased this item The V.A.D-voluntary aid detachment as many of you will be aware was set up in 1909 and served in WW1 &WW11 helping with nursing care and other duties in hospitals and recuperation centres The 8/V A D/Willts was set up in WW1 by the headmistress of Godolphin school ,a private/independent girls school in Salisbury ,and was staffed by all the school staff and girl pupils . The headmistress being the commandant . The nursing care training carried out by the red cross
Was the early red cross badge worn by V A D' s carrying out nursing duties in any head dress ?? I would be grateful for any information regarding insignia worn by V A D ,s
The girls school today has a C C F unit I wrote to the school in may 2014 ,as I was interested to find out if the Wilts c c f arm badge was worn The only insignia worn by the unit is the a/a R.A badge which the school is affiliated to
