Royal Navy Blast Helmets

Does anyone know anything about WW2 Royal Navy Blast Helmets?
Page 137 of Royal Navy Uniforms shows the blast helmet in use but these only have two cross head straps. My example has an additional strap that supports the heavy ear pieces. So mine is most likely an altered design. But what date where they introduced?
