Roughriders Cap badge
Can anyone date this badge? I presume that the 1908 full size pattern was worn until use of the collar badge with the introduction of side caps and GS caps in the early 1940s? Or were the City of London Yeo in berets in between the wars as may of the RTC converted yeomanry units were? or was it later - possibly post war?
They were wearing them in the 1950s but I have been unable to date their introduction. It is marked with the very small JRGaunt London seen on some WW2 Yeo and Cav badges so it would assist with dating the use of this stamp.
