Arthur and Big Mama, along with Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson, John Lee Hooker, Ray Charles, Fats Domino and countless others, would have gotten their inspiration from the likes of Leadbelly, Blind Lemon Jefferson, Mississippi John Hurt, Charlie Patton and all the other Blues greats. It's a never-ending cycle really.
