I have David Jones of Manchester as a tailor/outfitter and the same for J H Milton & Co, Manchester (you mentioned 'Hilton' but is this possibly 'Milton'?).
As for Clancy, Dublin, I have only records of their backmark, no record of whether they were maker or retailer. I suspect they were a retailer of one form or another simply because their name does not appear as often as I would expect if they were a maker. That's just speculation though and I may well be wrong.
