A lot of research gone into those and much appreciated.

I only collect buttons to the constituent units of the Manchester Regiment and my favourites are those made in Ireland for the Officers of the 63rd Foot whilst stationed there. I have 2 makers, namely:-

A. Clancy, Dublin; P. Tait & Co, Limerick

I also like Manchester based makers and have buttons to the Manchester Regiment by:-

J.H. Hilton & Co, Manchester (QVC) David Jones, Manchester (KC)

There must be overseas makers of this Regiments buttons out there but havent seen any so far.

Thank you Simon

Its nice to connect a local back mark to a Regiment of interest, I have a few Plymouth and Exeter back marked buttons to go with my Devon Regiment interests.

Talking of P.TAIT of Limerick, did I read somewhere that their buttons were made by Smith & Wright?
