Another example of the blue peak.
A War Office letter dated 20th January 1942 held in National Archives file WO32/9709 instructs "The FS cap worn by cadet officers and cadets will be fitted with a distinguishing strip of dark blue cloth placed under the folding peak of the FS cap so that 1/4 inch of the material protrudes under the peak."
