Hi Gents
I have one of these anodised East Surrey cap badges in my collection. It is ident to Leigh's one shown above, having the Gaunt London mark on the slider. It is a cap badge not a beret badge and measures 45mm from the tip of the crown to the lowest point of the scroll beneath the letter 'S'.
As documented at length above, they are uncommon, but do turn up. Never seen a beret size anodised and to my knowledge there are no anodised collars. I do however have an anodised button, which has a Kings crown.
