I have a gilt brass badge that I have had for many many years, aquired from a very reputable dealer as a WWI Officers badge and have some people saying it is an NCO's...?...anyone ever heard of that..?
here is a pic of front and rear...has the Gaunt label..can anyone confirm for me if this IS an Officers, or.....
There seem to be similar badges with the Gaunt mark coming out of the UK in recent years. I've seen Lord Strathcona's horse and 8th Princess Louise's New Brunswick Hussars.
I'm not saying yours is suspect, but I would be wary of new looking badges.
