I’m with you on this one Keith.
Furthermore his claim about the auctioneers holding themselves out as militaria specialists is completely spurious. What they do state is that they have a firearms and weapons expert in house. In addition the sale he made his purchase from was a regular monthly auction and not a specialist militaria one.
I’m minded to bring this chaps allegations to their notice when I pop in there next Friday to pick up a lot I purchased from them recently, and which I may add they have been kind enough to hold onto for me until I am passing without charge.
