My best find this year is this third pattern Surrey Militia button dating, I believe from the 1790 to 1801 period. (Ripley reference 223). This Unit was reformed in 1763 before gaining the 'Royal' title in 1801. In excellent condition for its age with the 'Firmin & Co, London' Maker mark to the reverse and a local pattern to me I have been after for some time.
