Default KK2117 RASC officers enameled cap & collar badges

Hello gentlemen,

i just purchased this set of cap & collar badges for RASC.
The cap badge is, if i am right, KK2117, George IV, with space between crown and garter, sealed 12th February 1949.
Garter with blue enamel, the red area below with translucent red glas-enamel.
Two part construction, the star may be white metal, Silver plated with punched mark P and makers mark J.R.GAUNT LONDON. Laurel wreath, scroll, garter and Cypher from gilding metal, fixed with two prongs to the star.
The collar badges have the same construction, but the makers mark is raised and the stars are "anodised" or "galvanic" silvered. So they do not show the nice patina of oxydised silver.

These badges should be worn between 1949 and 1953, correct ?
My question - are they made in this period or has Gaunt produced them also after 1953 with this obsolete design ?

Thanks for any comments or information,
kind regards
Markus
