I think it could have been RGJ or LI that they were badged to prior to the QRL. Once the Rifles came into being the association ceased and they went over to the QRL.

They were badged to somebody else,completely unrelated prior to that.
What i dont get is that being QRL they should have worn the red backing,yet they dont.

They were badged to the Queens Royal Lancers, David. But that was prior to the QRL being amalgamated.
Images on their FB page show them still wearing the Motto in 2018.

Ox and Bucks Light Infantry hallmarked

Does anybody have any info as to whether the Officers beret badge exists in silver with hallmarks.
I have an example in silver plate and an example stamped silver but not one that has a hallmark....

That mark was on the RLC badges when they 1st...

That mark was on the RLC badges when they 1st appeared so i assume it covers around 1990 onwards.
If i recall correctly,the Royal Irish with slider and Royal Irish with lugs both have this mark.

The text says that the collar badge wasnt worn 1914-1918 during WW1,the regt then went to Aden in 1919. Which ever uniform was worn then didnt have collar badges. So for however long they were there...
