Dog Tag

Today, I came into possession of this SAAF dog tag. It is the same size and shape as the more common fibre tag. But it is made out of brass. I am not sure if the details are stamped in or engraved?...

I did not realise that there were so many versions of Cap and Collar Badges, I realise that they were made of brass or copper(?) and some were sand cast.
