It may be a coincidence, but the 5th US Infantry Division wore a red diamond. Iíve not seen one with a Ď5í embroidered on it though.

Please see photos of a badge I'm trying to ID. It's a Kings Crown so 1901 to 1953, but having looked in Kipling and King Vol 1 the closest I can find is the top half of a QVC Royal Artillery badge....

Agreed. A beautiful example of a wartime dark blue on light blue printed “PARACHUTE REGIMENT” shoulder title. Getting hard to find and expensive these days, so fake examples are multiplying.

The version above looks like a standard cap badge to me.

The lapel badge at the end is a Napoleonic Eagle for the French 62nd Regiment. It was captured in battle by the Essex Regiment, who adopted it as a battle honour.

Third one along on top row is probably the 8th Infantry Divisions Transport Battalion. The background shield is their shoulder insignia, with the insignia for transport over it.
