RRW & R Welsh cap badge question

Hi Folks

Did the Royal Welsh continue to wear the RRW anodised cap badge for a period of time before adopting the current metal badge with additional scroll?

Just noticed this badge which sold on ebay and was curious as to what it was, its obviously similar to British examples but probably foreign.
