Were they Army Reserves? I only ask because he must have had a break in service as he is missing a Jubilee medal not to mention any campaign medal after 1992 but has 15 years service for the LS&GC.

If there had been another Welsh VB raised then it would have been 5th VB...

All rules are only guidelines as far as cadet units go so I can't assume that a bronze badge existed. If one did then there may have been less than 10 of them!

Yes they are definitely single owls on both the caps and collars. Absolutely no chance that they are the circular badge seen in the pre war photo.

An interesting photo showing the EIIR cypher is use by the Queen's driver. Often attributed to the Norfolk Yeomanry of course.

Thank you for the observation. The school archivists photos do rather prove that the bespoke OTC badge was not the only badge worn on OTC caps though and the only photo they have of it's use...
