I got mine from some one in the Brigade in the late 1980's it was the first merrow edged badge I had ever seen.

In other Regiments and Corps where SNCOs wear a regimental badge above their chevrons, Warrant officers wear them below their Rank badge.
I guess that is what this might be purporting to be.

Thanks Paddy, I hadn't thought of Royal Marines until I spotted it online from the RM museum collection with a vocab number, which uniform would have been worn on and what period.

Hi folks

Any help with these, golden yellow on red, they look quite old.

I have a Royal Marines vocab number for a similar one but wondered if any Infantry or Cavalry regiments wore them on...

Hi

Spotted this photo of a WO2's Bandsmans uniform, the 'Jimmy' appeared larger and more colourful than the standard SNCO's badge.

Maybe a shaped blazer badge?

Also explains why no medal ribbons on the guys at the back...they are students.
