The button certainly has some age to it,and the Coat of Arms looks very much like that shown on the Royal Thai Police web page.

It's a good quality S/P mounted button,about 23 mm. I don't think it is a UK military item,however the back mark...

A Victorian era silver plated button of The Rifle Brigade, with a
Guelphic crown.A recent acquisition,and not a version I've come across before.
I think the the back mark dates it to the 1870's.
