Hit by a torpedo from UB-86 north of Ireland in 1918, limped back to Liverpool with the loss of only one man.

Victorian Commander in Chief crest.
This would have been Prince George Duke of Cambridge who held the post from 1856 to 1895.

Silver plate and gilt glengarry badge lesser quality than previous examples.
Possibly a Sgts rather than an officers, gilt has migrated onto the star.

2. Silver badge, head to left of L.
3. Brass badge, head under the L, laquer staining....

Here is a blackened brass example of C/13 collar 30mm high and stamped Gaunt London.
There does not seem to be a Brooker reference for this.

Tentatiively assigned as 513-12-135 by Chris Brooker.
Although not maker marked thought to be by McDougall....
