The two epaulettes represent his being a member of a flank company, rather than a captain. Those in battalion companies had just one epaulette.

It’s just what I see, albeit on a phone screen. It doesn’t seem 3-dimensional, so I perceived it as likely painted on. Perhaps they are decals, I don’t know.

I don’t know for sure Jerry, but my guess would be yellow red at top, as that represented the Royal Armoured Corps and they were the senior arm. I’ll be interested to see if anyone knows for sure.
