Certainly looks like a Type 8. The wings were made with various coloured backgrounds and I don't believe you can attribute a wing to a Unit by the background colour.

Gents, the key word is 'posted.' If any soldier is posted to a Unit, HQ or otherwise, they wear the colour patch of the posted Unit.
On attachment etc, they retain the parent Unit's color patch....
