The 2/1 AY wore peaked caps in 1917-18 so I suspect the badge was not from a sealed pattern as that would have been fitted with a slider.

It went on amalgamation with the 10th to form the RH.

Whilst the brown beret remained it did not have the red band and was worn with a badge. The brown beret is still worn by the KRH today.
