"Canadian" title, not "Canada"

This is a different version of Shoulder title, these usually say "Canada" and am thrown off by this gilt example which spells out "Canadian".

Has anyone seen one before or have any info on it ?...

I'd like to express my condolences to all his friends and family also, was very shocked to hear the sad news. Just talked to him a month ago. A big loss to the badge collecting world.

Thanks Bill, yes it says "1st Canadians", my Charlton book doesn't show it or describe it. (I have the 1991 edition).

Think it's Nigeria Customs, and a restrike, very common. Often seen on ebay as Palestine Police or such.

Looks like a regular Grenadier Guards badge to me, though the lugs are an older style, have some with brass lugs as well as copper these lugs are not typical of CEF badges.
