that is a good point I have three variations and depending on the leaf stem the height of the collar should be no more than 39mm anything more will be a dud IMO. I remeber seeing these larger collars...

It is common knowledge while on leave in Britain the badge was authorized in fact for NCOs the pre 14 badge with 42 in the centre was worn also.

This badge is made up on the leaf from a 25th Battn badge with the overlay holes clearly visable. The badge is not IMO suspect but made up to deceive a clear fake.
