I have found some references to drivers badges in this Jan 1945 book, Its a Royal Artillery publication so I'm not sure if RASC and other Regiments followed the same principles or at the same times?...

Also the "locally made" one seems to be on the same alignment as the cloth version, the other one is 45% out?

Am I right in saying that having a military driving licence wouldn't necessarily mean that you would wear any of the drivers badges. Not even if you had an "A" or "B" vehicle assigned to you?

Types of Drivers Badges

Please can anyone explain the difference between all the different badges worn by Drivers on BD? Is it to do with the "Class" of tradesman you are A,B or C or the types of vehicle you drove?
