If its impossible to bend a genuine badges then how did the squaddies manage it when they shaped them to fit peaked caps or berets??? I suppose they had a break press on the Somme to do it

Just to add to this I was told a story by a fairly prominent dealer a few years back who said when one of the big badge companies sold a lot of their dies off they also flogged around a years supply...

I'm with Alan and JJ on this one. The bend test can be pretty useful especially when it comes to white metal badges I find, but as Alan mentioned the design has to be taken into account when gauging...
