5DG Green. (the green horse nickname for the 5DG) for the same reason as the green trousers / overalls. At the time the wearers whouldnt have worn a backing that big in reality.

Thanks Irv. Painting the frame is hard as it takes a lot of coats. Obviously row 3 is all restrikes, but i'm quite proud of it. My next job is John Pettyjohns vc's medals.

The Worcestershire's then the WFR had a tradition of wearing a pouch badge. I suspect this is what it is. Shame Mercian's couldn't carry the tradition on.

Yes Irv id say you where. Hope you get to see the other RM museum when it reopens at the RN dockyard this year. I plan to take my RM cadets at some point.
