I know there were armoured officers who flew helicopters. They may have been attached to the airborne and had the flight wings before they got there jump wings

The RNWMP were cavalry in WW 1 with the Canadian Light Horse and the Siberian force. It might have come from that era.

I knowticed that the badge with the buckle in Mazeas is captioned as an officer's badge. The one without is the OR's.

The oval was taken down early in the forces begining because they were not an airborne unit only jump qualified.
