C.E.R. ??? Badge. Can you identify

Dispite a lot of googling and even reverse image searches I have not been able to identify a set of badges I found amongst my late father's effects.
Can anybody help identify them?

Deer cloth badge

Can anyone identify this cloth badge? I found it amongst my late father's effects in an envelope with a Chindits and a First Special Forces badge. Not sure if that is relevant.

Gloucestershire Regiment badge???

Can anybody help with this badge I found amongst my late father's effects?
It says Gloucestershire Regiment and has the coat of arms of Gloucester but why no sphinx?
