The first 'grenadier' badge approved in Australia...

The first 'grenadier' badge approved in Australia in 1916 was a copper oxidised grenade, although photographs also show the brass one such as in Jon's photograph being worn.

Attached photo, plus photo of my titles when I had them that shows a pair of curved ASC titles, Stokes if I recall correctly.

Australian, from MGO Specification 1957.

The black on red is probably Sydney University Regiment although I'm not certain when it was adopted.
