I’m not sure if my memory is playing tricks, but the “palace” staff standing outside Windsor following Duke of Edinburgh’s demise did they not have green on their uniform?

Easy mistake to make, have missed the obvious myself on many an occasion.
Would have thought that the SLR would give us a time period although not sure when this style of patch began for cadets....

Not familiar with this. Looking at position of St George I would guess that it should be standing on its point rather than a side. My first impression was that it was a Banner of some sort?
