Black Watch Badge Opinions …Rust?
The die blob and the loops make believe this is original and from around WWI. Is the rust coming from a base metal that has been exposed through the plating?

Brass Black Watch?
This topic comes up from time to time. I wanted to add this example. Brass with the Sphinx flaw. It appears to be naturally aged, face is worn from polishing, has the right “feel”, and has a...

I was not as interested in buying it as confirming that the solder looked OK and is the type used during the period.

7th Rajputs Shoulder Title
Is this the shoulder title of the 7th Duke of Connaught’s Own WW1 era regiment or is this from the post 1922 7th Regiment?

Wiltshire with small void
I see that many say the small void between the cross and scroll is the sign of a repro. This is one with the void (in my collection) that I believe to be genuine. I welcome discussion.

Royal Fusiliers (London) Collar / Cap?

I like the front, but the loop (and the spot where the other one was) looks like the soldering work is that of a fake. Just too light. Thoughts? Could it be from the WW1 era?

Of note....it's the same badge. The scan wasn't clear but showed the finish. The photo took all of the shine off the badge.

Thanks. Gut....and few photos I had seen told me that was the case. But, always a good idea to double check before it goes in the cull-pile.
Thanks again,
