The badge is a cast copy of a firmin badge so not real which would have been cast originally with lugs not added later as you'd normally do, I have the same badge in silver to the public works...

I was talking to someone who made/makes fake badges a couple of years ago, he said a well known seller on Ebay had bought and used his fakes to make his fakes, so yes fake of a fake badge.

I picked up a household cavalry badge nearly 30 years ago with a name scratched on the back, a few years ago now orasot looked him up and his rank was corporal of fencing if rember correctly.
