In my experience, 99.99999 % of RM Labour Corps are repro the original badge is voided like the normal RM cap badge.
RMLI cap badges were reproduced by the Corps Museum around 1972 era I believe...

To me it is wrong, if I am right the tip of the sting should not be touching the leg. I think others will agree with that although in this world there is always a twist. My advice is leave it alone.
